Description
Trunk-specific activity, such as a trunk going up or coming down.
Repair procedure
To resolve the problem:
- Review the text of the log message to identify the event.
- If the event is related to a trunk or trunks coming up, no further action is required.
- If the event is related to a trunk or trunks going down, take these actions:
- Check the physical trunk or trunk for loose connections.
- Verify that the switch at the far end is operating properly.
- Ensure that the physical trunk is configured correctly both on the switch and on the <mav_prod_name_> system.
- Type trunkmon-b <trunk number> and press Enter to determine the exact condition of the trunk.
- If you cannot resolve the problem by troubleshooting the trunk, contact your Avaya support representative and provide information like the following:
- Alarms received
- Application involved
- Type of channel protocol in use
- Type of board
- Type of switch
