Programming in Standard SPM Mode
The WinSPM software contains a Standard SPM Mode that allows you to program in a DOS window of Windows 95. Standard SPM Mode provides an interface to the programming and maintenance software in the control unit processor module. The SPM software emulates the display screen and buttons of a system programming console. As shown in SPM Display, the SPM display mirrors the following three areas of the console:
To use SPM for system programming, you must connect the PC to the control unit. This can be done either directly through the system programming jack on the control unit or through a modem (modems can be used for either on-site or remote programming). See System Programming for details on SPM use.

SPM is not necessary in order to back up system programming. System programming can be backed up on a memory card. For details, see System Programming. |
