Verifying customer options

The Message Networking system has a variety of optional features. If you purchase an optional feature, you can verify that it is enabled (turned on) by checking its status on the Customer Options page.

Note: Only certified Avaya personnel can change options on this page, but the page can be displayed for informational purposes. If an option is turned off, it will not function.

To verify feature options:

  1. Log on to Message Networking as sa.
    The system displays the Administration menu.
  2. Select Global Administration > Customer Options.
    The system displays the Customer Options (Read Only) page. The following table describes the feature options that apply to the Message Networking system.
  3. Click Return to Main to return to the Administration menu.


Feature option Current Maximum
AMIS Nodes ON or OFF; indicates whether remote AMIS Analog machines can be connected to the Message Networking system.

If this field is set to YES, a maximum of 500 AMIS Analog nodes can be connected to the Message Networking system. Note that the total number of nodes between Octel nodes, AMIS nodes, and Digital nodes cannot exceed 500.

ON/OFF
Aria Digital Ports Number of Aria Digital ports on the Message Networking system. This is always set to 4. 4
Call Detail Recording (CDR) Indicates whether CDR is activated. ON/OFF
Digital Nodes ON or OFF; indicates whether remote digital machines can be connected to the Message Networking system.

If this field is set to YES, a maximum of 500 digital nodes can be connected to the Message Networking system. Note that the total number of nodes between Octel nodes, AMIS nodes, and Digital nodes cannot exceed 500.

ON/OFF
Octel Analog Nodes ON or OFF; indicates whether remote Octel Analog Networking machines can be connected to the Message Networking system.

If this field is set to YES, a maximum of 500 Octel Analog Networking nodes can be connected to the Message Networking system. Note that the total number of nodes between Octel nodes, AMIS nodes, and Digital nodes cannot exceed 500.

ON/OFF
SMTP Ports 0, 4, or 8; indicates the number of SMTP/MIME and VPIM ports on the Message Networking system. 8
Serenade Digital Ports 4; indicates the number of Serenade Digital ports on the Message Networking system. This feature is always set to 4. 4
TCP/IP digital ports 4; indicates the number of AUDIX Digital ports purchased. This feature is always set to 4. 4
voice_ports 4; indicates the number of analog ports on the Message Networking system. 4
