Message Networking features include:

Octel 100 Release 3.2.9d, Unified Messenger Release 3.0 or
later for Microsoft Exchange, and Alcatel 4635.
- Systems that support Serenade TCP/IP digital networking
including Serenade (Octel 200/300) Release S.2.0 or later
(with level 5 protocol).

Networking and point-to-point networks.
- Automated unattended nightly backup
that consists of a nightly backup completed by the Message Networking
system. Messages are queued during the backup downtime and, therefore,
might be delayed slightly. If you receive notice that this backup
has not been completed successfully, contact the Technical Services
Center (TSC) at +1.800.242.2121.
- Call Detail Recording Administration
(CDRA) that helps manage message networks that use Message Networking
by creating a message history file. This history file includes:
the status of the message, the source and destination of the message,
and the time it entered and left the Message Networking system.
This history file can be transferred from the Message Networking
system to another system for reporting purposes using the FTP
process.
- File Transfer Protocol (FTP) support
that allows the transfer of Message Networking report files and lists using
FTP to and from other systems.
