Subscriber administration tools |
Subscriber administration tools are used to set up and maintain Avaya Modular Messaging subscriber accounts when using Microsoft Exchange servers or IBM Lotus Domino servers.
Depending on the Microsoft Exchange messaging environment, administrators can use one of the following tools to administer voice mail accounts for Avaya Modular Messaging subscribers:
This administration tool extends the Microsoft 5.5 Server Administrator with voice mail administration for a mailbox. Administrators can enable a mailbox for voice mail and maintain voice mail information for a Avaya Modular Messaging subscriber.
With this administration tool, administrators can enable users, groups, or contacts to use Avaya Modular Messaging under Microsoft Exchange 2000/2003 administration. Avaya Modular Messaging Subscriber Administration adds the Modular Messaging property page to Microsoft Exchange mailbox properties in Windows Active Directory. On the Modular Messaging property page, administrators can configure subscriber properties, and launch Subscriber Options.
The Domino Directory has been enhanced to store subscriber information in the Person document. Access through the Notes client and Domino Administrator client allows administrators to enable mail files for use with Avaya Modular Messaging. In addition, administrators or subscribers can modify Modular Messaging settings, such as the TUI password. Changes and actions initiated are completed and distributed throughout the entire Domino environment.
