Configuring Octel Analog Networking

Note: Octel Analog Networking is available with Avaya Modular Messaging Solution — Microsoft Exchange version only.

You can configure Octel Analog Networking for each MAS in a voice mail domain. Octel Analog Networking allows users on one Octel Analog Networking system to exchange messages with users on other Octel Analog Networking systems.

To receive Octel Analog Networking messages, all MASs in a voice mail domain must either be Octel Analog Networking-enabled, or a hunt group on the PBX must be configured to only connect to the Octel Analog Networking-enabled MASs in a voice mail domain.

To configure Octel Analog Networking:

  1. In the Voice Mail Configuration window, click the voice mail domain.
  2. Double-click Octel Analog Networking.
  3. The system displays the Octel Analog Networking tab.

  4. Select the check boxes next to the MASs for which you want to enable Octel Analog Networking.
