Guidelines for port group usage |
The following guidelines are to assist you in allocating ports:
One or more ports on the MAS must be configured in the PC Client group.
One or more ports on the MAS must be configured in the Telephone User Interface group.
This is the port or ports associated with the access telephone number for incoming Octel Analog Networking calls.
| Important: Ports that receive incoming Octel Analog Networking calls must be in both the Telephone User Interface group and the Octel Analog Networking Incoming group. |
If an MAS is running Octel Analog Networking gateway, one or more ports on the MAS must be configured in the Octel Analog Networking Outgoing group.
For information on calculating the number of ports required, see the Avaya Modular Messaging Concepts and Planning Guide.
