Creating subscriber accounts for contacts and groups

Create a subscriber account for a contact or a group by assigning a numeric address to the contact or group object.

For more information on contacts and groups, see your Microsoft documentation.

To create a subscriber account for a contact or group:

  1. Start Active Directory Users and Computers.
  2. In the console tree, select the container that includes the contact object or group object that you want to administer.
  3. From the list on the right side of the window, select the contact object or group object.
  4. Select the Modular Messaging property page.
  5. In the Numeric Address field, enter the number that uniquely identifies the contact or group in your organization. The default is blank.
  6. For guidance on setting up a numeric addressing scheme, see the Avaya Modular Messaging Concepts and Planning Guide.

  7. Click OK.
