Setting up the audio device

You can record the Name prompt using local multimedia or a telephone. The current audio device is indicated on the Voice Player by the telephone icon or multimedia icon .

To set up telephone recording:

  1. In the Voice Mail User Properties page, click Options.

    2. The system displays the Media Setup dialog box.

  2. In the When composing voice messages field, click Telephone.
  3. Click Configure.

    4. The system displays the Telephone Properties screen.

  4. In the Extension number field, enter your extension or telephone number.
  5. In the Voice server name field, enter the MAS.
  6. Click OK.

    7. The Voice Player displays the telephone icon .

To set up multimedia recording:

  1. In the Voice Mail User Properties page, click Options.

    2. The system displays the Media Setup page

  2. In the When composing voice messages field, click Multimedia.
  3. Click OK.

    4. The Voice Player displays the multimedia icon .
