Enhanced-List Application maintenance

This topic provides the following information on ELA maintenance:

Checking the Administrator's Log

The system warns you of potential administrative problems with ELA by displaying a minor alarm or warning message (Alarms: w or Alarms: m) when it logs an administration event.

Check for ELA-specific events on a regular basis to monitor ELA performance. To view ELA-specific log entries:

  1. On the Administrator's Log page, specify the starting date and time.
  2. Select EL in the Application field.
  3. Click Display.
  4. Examine the displayed entries.
  5. Take any necessary corrective action.

Checking the Delivery Failure Log

The delivery failure log contains entries for failed deliveries, a description of the cause of the failure, and other information. Check this log to monitor ELA and system performance and if a subscriber complains that messages are not being delivered.

To view the delivery failure log:

  1. Go to the Enhanced-List Delivery Failure Log page.
  2. Examine the displayed entries.
  3. Take any necessary corrective action.
