This topic provides the following information on ELA maintenance:
Checking the Administrator's
Log
The system warns you of potential administrative
problems with ELA by displaying a minor alarm or warning message
(Alarms: w or Alarms: m) when it logs an administration event.
Check for ELA-specific events on a regular
basis to monitor ELA performance. To view ELA-specific log entries:
- On the Administrator's
Log page, specify the starting date and
time.
- Select EL in the Application
field.
- Click Display.
- Examine the displayed entries.
- Take any necessary corrective
action.
Checking the Delivery
Failure Log
The delivery failure log contains entries
for failed deliveries, a description of the
cause of the failure, and other information. Check this log to monitor
ELA and system performance and if a subscriber complains that messages
are not being delivered.
To view the delivery failure log:
- Go to the Enhanced-List Delivery
Failure Log page.
- Examine the displayed entries.
- Take any necessary corrective action.
