The Alarm log contains descriptions of all significant problems
detected by the system. The Alarm log contains information about active and
resolved alarms and events. Resolved alarms are alarms that were corrected
either automatically or by repair procedures. It is recommended that you review the Alarm log daily.
Displaying the Alarm log
The Alarm log lists active or resolved messaging system alarms.
The most severe alarms are listed first since these are most
often the cause of the problem.
To display the Alarm log:
- On the Alarm Log page, set the filtering options for the server alarms and events you want to display.
For more information, click the field names or Help.
- Click Display.
- Examine the displayed events.
Events, alarms, and their associated repair procedures are described
in Alarms and Events.
- If a displayed event calls for repair, take whatever
corrective action is necessary.
