Modifying an existing external host

The external host file lists the remote machines directly connected to the MSS for which DNS is not used. You can change the external host information after installation to modify the information for a remote machine defined as an external host.

To modify the settings of an existing external host:

1. On the Administer External Hosts page, select the external host you want to modify and then click Change.
2. On the Change an Existing External Host page, modify the IP Address, Host Name, or Alias for this machine.
3. Click Save to update the entry.

   The system displays a message that the information has been saved.

4. Click OK.

   The Administer External Hosts page displays the updated information.
