If a networked machine (either
another Modular Messaging system or an Avaya Message
Networking system) has been removed from the network, you must delete
that networked machine from your local MSS. When you delete
a networked machine, you also delete any remote subscribers associated
with that networked machine. Machine information and subscriber information
are not removed completely from the system until a nightly audit
runs.
Because deleting a machine removes the networked machine and the remote
subscribers assigned to that machine, before proceeding make sure
that you really want to delete the machine.
Note: You cannot delete the local machine but you can change
local machine information.
To delete a networked machine:
- Go to the Manage Networked Machines page, which displays a list of the networked machines currently administered on the system.
- Highlight the networked machine that you want to delete and click
Delete the Selected Networked Machine.
A message displays that lists the machine name, IP address,
and machine type of the networked machine and prompts you to confirm
that you want to delete the selected networked machine.
- Click OK to confirm the deletion.
A message displays that the network machine has been successfully
deleted.
- Click OK.
