Adding a new SNMP NMS for alarms

This topic provides information about adding new SNMP network management stations (NMSs) to the system to monitor alarms. SNMP NMSs can be configured to monitor (but not to acknowledge) system alarms and events.

To add a new SNMP NMS to the system to monitor alarms:

1. On the Administer SNMP NMS for Alarms page, click Add.
2. Complete the fields on the Add New SNMP NMS for Alarms page. You can click the field names or Help to view more information.
3. Click Save.

   The system saves your changes.

4. Click OK to confirm addition of the new NMS for alarms.

   The system displays the Administer SNMP NMS for Alarms page with an updated list of NMSs capable of monitoring system alarms.
