Configuring the minimum alarm severity and alarm suppression for NMSs for alarms

This topic provides information about configuring the minimum alarm severity and alarm suppression settings for alarms. The minimum severity and alarm suppression values you administer apply to all secondary NMSs for alarms.

Note: Alarm severity and suppression for the primary NMS are set on the Configure Alarms page. For more information about these fields, click the field names or Help.

To configure the minimum alarm severity and alarm suppression settings for NMSs:

  1. Go to the Administer SNMP NMS for Alarms page.
  2. Configure the Minimum Severity to Send and the Alarm Suppression fields. You can click the field names or Help to view more information.
  3. Click Save.

    The system saves your changes.

  4. Click OK to confirm your settings. The system displays the new minimum severity and alarm suppression settings.
