Adding networked machines

You can add a new networked machine (another Modular Messaging system or an Avaya Message Networking system) during initial system installation or at any time in the future, as your network grows.

Note: A Modular Messaging Release 3 system can be directly networked only to Modular Messaging Release 1.1 systems with Service Pack 6 or later or Modular Messaging Release 2.0 systems with Service Pack 1 or later. These software version requirements do not apply when Modular Messaging systems are networked through an Avaya Message Networking system.

To add a networked machine to the local MSS:

1. On the Manage Networked Machines page, click Add a New Networked Machine.
2. Complete the fields on the Add Networked Machine page.

You can click the field names or Help to view more information.

3. Click Save.
