You can set up remote access for MSS administration using one of the following access methods:
- You can set up a PPP connection between your Message Storage Server (MSS) and a remote personal computer to enable remote administration outside your intranet firewall. For information on setting up remote access to the MSS via a PPP connection, see Setting up logins and remote access on the MSS in Chapter 5 of the Installation and Upgrades guide (pdf).
- You can use a software package, such as Mailbox Mailbox, to administer the MSS remotely. You must administer a trusted server to provide access to the MSS data via LDAP. See Administering trusted servers on the MSS for more information.
