Modifying the settings of a trusted server

Use this procedure to modify the settings of an existing trusted server. Trusted servers are clients, such as Avaya Site Administration, for which you administer permission to write data to the MSS.

To modify the settings of a trusted server:

  1. On the Manage Trusted Servers page, select an existing trusted server from the table, and then click Edit the Selected Trusted Server.
  2. On the Edit Trusted Server page, modify the fields on the page.
  3. If the trusted server you are modifying is a special type, you may not be able to modify the following fields:
    • Service Name
    • Minutes of Inactivity Before Alarm
    • Default Community
    • Access to Cross Domain Delivery
    • LDAP Access Allowed
    • LDAP Connection Security
    • IMAP4 Super User Access Allowed
    • IMAP4 Super User Connection Security
  4. You can click the field names or Help to view more information.

  5. Click Save to save the changes to the trusted server settings.
  6. A message displays that the trusted server was updated successfully.

  7. Click OK.

The Manage Trusted Server page displays the updated list of trusted servers.

  8. If you changed the Machine Name/IP Address or Password field, test the connection from the remote trusted server.
