Types of remote subscribers

There are three types of remote Avaya™ S3400 Message Server subscribers: administered remote subscribers, unverified remote subscribers, and verified non-administered remote subscribers.

Administered remote subscribers

Administered remote subscribers are subscribers whom you have defined as remote subscribers within the local system. You define remote subscribers when you:

Unverified remote subscribers

Unverified remote subscribers are remote subscribers who are unknown to the local system. Unverified remote subscribers automatically become verified non-administered remote subscribers when the system goes through the remote update process.

Verified non-administered remote subscribers

Verified non-administered remote subscribers are remote subscribers who appear in the local database only because they have successfully exchanged messages with the local system.

Note: The system automatically deletes non-administered remote users once every 21 days. This activity is performed as part of the Nightly Audits.
