Administering a Subscriber Administration access control list

If you want to use Subscriber Options in an administrative role, then you must be included in the Subscriber Administration ACL.

Note: For more information about system security, see the “Getting Started” section on your system documentation CD.

Important!   To administer a Subscriber Administration ACL, you must be a member of the System Administration ACL.

To set up a Subscriber Administration ACL:

  1. In the Voice Mail System Configuration window, click the voice mail domain.
  2. If you have more than one voice mail domain, you may need to expand the tree hierarchy to find the one you want.

  3. Click Security.
  4. Double-click Subscriber Administration.
  5. The system displays the Permissions for Subscriber Administration dialog box.

  6. Click Add.
  7. The system displays the Select Users, Computers, or Groups dialog box.

  8. In the Name column, highlight the group or user you want to add to the ACL.
Note: By default, the groups and users listed belong to the same Windows domain as your account. If required, you can select a different Windows domain in the Look in: drop-down list.
  9. Click Add.
  10. The system displays the group or user in the lower part of the screen.

  11. Repeat Step 5 and Step 6 for all groups and users you want to add.
  12. To return to the Permissions for Subscriber Administration dialog box, click OK.
  13. In the Permissions for Subscriber Administration dialog box, click OK.
