Save announcements and translations

Return to Task List

  1. Insert the translation card(s) into the TN2401 (Netcon/Pkt Intf) circuit pack(s).

  2. Type save announcements and press Return.


Note: Use this step only for configurations with the TN750 or TN750B announcement circuit pack. Skip this step for the TN750C or TN2501AP integrated announcement circuit packs, which contain on-board, nonvolatile memory.

This takes about 45 minutes.

  1. Type save translation and press Return.

    2. This takes about 20 minutes.


Note: Do not press any keyboard key until after the screen shows the success message. For example, if you press Enter more than once after typing the command, the second Enter erases the screen and you never see the success message.


Note: If the save translation command fails, do not continue. Record the error code that appears on the screen and escalate the problem immediately.

Keep the translation media in a safe and secure place.
