Manually Setting the DHCP Client Hardware Address
Use this procedure to manually set or change the DHCP Client Hardware Address, if you use static addressing rather than DHCP.
- When you select CHADDR from the Craft Local Procedure Screen, the following text displays:
Current setting: New Setting: |
where, except for the 9610 which displays the actual value, the setting is the current system value of NVCHADDR.
- To change the setting, enter a valid client hardware address. This value is usually the MAC address, which DHCP then converts to an integer preceded by zeroes.
- Press Save to store the new setting and redisplay the Craft Local Procedure screen.
