Performing Annual Switch Maintenance

Avaya recommends that you implement an annual maintenance procedure for your switch. As part of this annual maintenance, include the following tasks:

• Make sure that all modules are properly seated in each slot.
• Make sure that all connections are secure.
• Clean any dust that may accumulated on the switch,.
• Save the configuration files and reset the switch.
• Verify that there is proper ventilation around the switch.
• Make sure that all power cords are seated securely in the power supplies in the switch.
