A software installation can be interrupted if:
you cancel the Install New Software wizard at any point
you are interrupted and the web interface times out and logs you off
The system remembers where it was in the installation program. The next time you (or anyone else) logs in and attempts to run the Install New Software wizard:
After you log in and click the Install New Software Release link, you see a message saying that a session is already in progress.
If you choose to take over the session, the installation procedure will return you to whatever point the installation was interrupted. You can continue the installation from there, or Cancel if you are unsure where you are in the process.
If you choose to not take over the session, the Choose Software screen appears as it would for a new installation, and the installation in progress is cancelled.
If you see this message
and don't know anything about the previous software installation attempt,
it is safest to not resume the
session. Begin the software installation again.
Proceed with the software installation.
