Use this screen to enable Avaya services (or another trouble-tracking service) to monitor your Avaya media server for alarms. Services personnel can dial-in to this interface to fix problems as they occur. If an Avaya maintenance contract is in place, the values on this screen must be provided by the Avaya services center.
Every S8700 configuration has two modems, one for each
server. However, the modems share a single analog line to the service
center. If one server reports alarms or a remote service person dials
in, the other modem is temporarily blocked from reporting problems until
the line clears.
To set up the modem interface:
Type the IP address associated with the dial-up link that accesses the modem.
The default IP address shown on this page is always changed for a new installation.
The dial-up link for each server has a unique IP address.
Accept the default values for any return routes unless your services representative specifically directs you to change them.
When finished, click Continue.
