Use this screen to test whether or not specific components within the media server's control network are working. When you run pingall, the system uses the Linux ping command to automatically ping the endpoints listed on the screen.
To run the pingall command:
On the main menu under Diagnostics, click Execute Pingall.
On the Execute Pingall screen, select the endpoint that corresponds to the components you want to test:
Other server(s), all IPSIs, UPS(s), Ethernet switches. Select this option to check the endpoints for all the control network components in the Avaya media server configurations except the local host. Components checked include the duplicate server, IPSI boards, UPS endpoints, and Ethernet switch ports.
Other server via duplication link. Select this option to check the duplication link to the other server.
IPSIs with cabinet number (1 to 99) and carrier number. Select this option to check all the IPSI boards on the network you specify. If you do not specify a cabinet number and a carrier number, pingall checks all the IPSI boards in the system.
UPS endpoints. Select this option to check all the UPS endpoints within the Avaya media server configuration.
Ethernet switch endpoints. Select this option to check all the Ethernet switches within the Avaya media server configuration.
Click Execute Pingall.
The pingall command reports the host name, IP address, number of messages sent and received, and round trip time.
See Pingall results for details.
