Important! You must complete this worksheet in its entirety before you start to install the server. If you interrupt or stop the installation because you do not have the information required, you risk the loss of your work up to that point.
Before you install and configure an Avaya media server, complete the preinstallation worksheet for the configuration that you plan to install:
Allow up to 4 hours to complete the worksheet. If you do not have this information complete, server configuration could take hours instead of about 15 minutes, and you risk losing your work in progress.
Caution:
It is crucial to coordinate the IP addresses that will be used with your
Avaya media server with those on the corporate LAN. If you specify an
Ethernet address for the Avaya server component that conflicts with another
Ethernet endpoint, you can cause problems with traffic on the local area
network that can be difficult to diagnose and resolve.
