Copy from duplicate server screen

This Copy from duplicate server screen allows you to copy and set up
a duplicate server with the information from the other server.
The duplicate server must have already been configured using the same
version of software as the other server.
|

|
You must always set up the modem interface on each server
independently because the IP address for the dial-in line of each modem
is unique. |
To copy configuration data to the duplicate server:
- From the main menu, click Configure
Server. The Warning screen appears. Read and click Continue.
The Back up Data Notice screen appears. Read
and click Continue. The Select
method for Configuring server screen appears.
- From this screen, click Copy
Configuration information from the duplicated server.
- From the Copy from Duplicate Server screen, enter
the following data:
- Duplication link is on ethernet interface number—enter the number
of the interface for the duplication link.
- IP address for duplication link on this server — enter the
IP address on server.
- IP address for duplication link on duplicated server
— enter
the IP address on duplicated server.
- Subnet mask for duplication link—enter
the IP address for the subnet mask of the duplicated link.
- Click Continue.
Troubleshooting
- If the ethernet interface does not display, fault
resolution is required.
- If you can not ping to the duplicate server, verify
that this server is running, and the duplication link's cabling is properly
connected.
- If copying fails from the duplicate server, verify
that it's running properly and is fully configured. In
the worst case, run the configure server wizard on the duplicate server
to recreate the data file.
