Before beginning installation, please verify that your System Administrator has programmed your telephone at the Control Unit. Then, make sure that you have the following items:
  • 4406D+, 4412D+, or 4424D+ telephone
  • Line cord (D2R) — One end may already be attached to the underside of the telephone
  • Handset — This should already be connected to the telephone with a coiled handset cord
  • For questions about the features associated with your telephone equipment or how to label the buttons on your telephone, please contact your system administrator.

Important Note: Your System Administrator should have programmed the MERLIN LEGEND� or MERLIN MAGIX� system for this telephone, and assigned port number and extension/intercom number.
