Reputation Model
Users can click on the icon in a post header that looks like a balance (or weighing scale), to give reputation points to another user, or to take away reputation points from another user. Not all users can take away reputation points. Each click gives, or takes away, 1 reputation point (you choose, and can leave a comment).

You would give someone a reputation point if their post is helpful to the community, and respectful of the community.

You would take away reputation from someone if you believe the post is detrimental to the community, or disrespectful of the community.

Giving, or taking away, reputation is optional.

Your reputation level increases (or decreases) the more (or less) reputation points you have.

Your reputation level also increases the more posts you create.

The Reputation Levels are as follows:
1. Aspiring Member: If you have 0 to 2 posts, or 0 to 10 reputation points.
2. Member: If you have 3 to 9 posts, or 11 to 14 reputation points.
3. Hot Shot: If you have 10 to 24 posts, or 15 to 24 reputation points.
4. Whiz: If you have 25 to 49 posts, or 25 to 49 reputation points.
5. Brainiac: If you have 50 to 99 posts, or 50 to 99 reputation points.
6. Guru: If you have 100 to 199 posts, or 100 to 199 reputation points.
7. Genius: If you have 200 to 399 posts, or 200 to 399 reputation points.
8. Legend: If you have 400 or more posts, or 400 or more reputation points.

As you reputation level increases, you also earn additional capabilities within the forum, such as the ability to post a picture, or animated avatar, post polls, and many other features.

Avaya reserves the right to adjust the reputation level criteria.
