Coverage Answer Group & Call Pickup Group Question
 
Is it possible for a call pickup group to answer a call that is ringing to a coverage answer group? All 5 extensions that are in the coverage answer group are members in the pickup group.

We have a request for calls coming in on a particular VDN ring at 5 desk phones at the same time. If no one in this coverage answer group answers the call, is it possible for a pickup group to answer the call?

This is a little late, but for anyone else looking for this answer...

Depending on what type of PBX system you are running (CM,IP Office, etc.), I am running CM 7 and there is a setting in the System-Parameters Features which allows this.

Page 19, "Call Pickup for Call to Coverage Answer Group? n". Change the "n" to "y" and you will be able to answer a call covered to an Answer Group and at least one of the extensions is in a Pickup Group.
