Registration problem
After 4622 phones were bounced, they don't register back to switch. They are on the network and can be pingged across the WAN. Every 5 minutes phones will flash the following error message;

2012 Registering
Expired Registration

Then will go back to the “connecting” state.

Appears to be a problem with password. Do passwords have a predetermined expiration setting? If so, where can I find it?

I would suggest you to check couple of things on the CM. Do you have TTS enabled on the ip-network-region as these issues may occur due to this settings. Also a sniffer trace will give us more insight into this.
