Standby CCMM won't accept license

Our standby CCMM will not accept our license. We receive an error message stating the FQDN is "too long" (over 29 characters). We have shortened the name, and no longer get an error message, but CCMM is still not picking up its license. The primary CCMM is working fine. Any thoughts?
