zakabog is correct. So long as you enable the rear stacking ports you can mix and match the 3500 series. Anything in 5.1 can be stacked, be aware of the Bootloader upgrades in 5.1 and above....

5.1 has been stable for me, but when I saw this in 5.0.x, I reapplied the code and that seemed to fix. Might be an option for you.
