CMS R16.2 admin backup error

If you are using USB drive to take a backup, you need to make sure that the mount point used for USB drive has less than 20 characters in its name.

This should resolve the issue.

Permanent hostname would require a reboot


Permanent hostname change would require a reboot. Temporarily, you could use the command <hostname> or <uname -S>.

CMS RTM Tool does not check any licenses


The RTM or Remote Tape Migrate tool does not checks any licenses etc., however certain variables such as hostname are checked, which can be overridden if the script is modified...

T4 Support


T4/ADE/CPE support is an internal escalation level of Avaya for T3/backbone teams and not directly accessible to the customers. So afar as the cost is concerned, in case of OOH support...

Scenario 1: When you delete a CMS user id say <nippon> completely....

Email notification of or emailing CMS reports


I think there is an Avaya Professional Services offer for emailing the CMS reports as well. The option can be explored by getting in touch with Avaya PS through Client/Account manager....
