Definitely is not easy.

After a lot of reading and researching yesterday I will post what I found out just to have here as reference to someone else that face the same challenge.

If anyone else have more steps or tips please feel free to include.

First go to avaya support :
2. Then support by product
3. Type communication Manager (in my case this is what I want to update)
4. Choose release (in my case R016x.00.1.510.1 is CM 6.0.x)
5. Click in Downloads,
6. Usually the latest updates and patches are on the first screen, but you can also search on "view downloads". There are tons of files. It is also good search by a file named "Compatibility Matrix : " that will show you your release and all the patches that you can update.
This is the point that I couldn't understand: I can see that there is the information on the file "attached file2
: I can update to 6.0.1 SP0.01 (18621), 6.2 SP0 (19593), (SP0:20553). I didn't get this.

Also I can see on the same file that there is for version CM 6.0.1 SP11 (20685) and you told me that I could go to SP7??? why not update to SP11?
