Yes, I agree that is confusing. "Manuals" is a very generic term and can include many different types of documents including Release Notes, Application & Technical Notes, Troubleshooting, System Management & Planning, Administration & System Programming, Upgrades & Configurations, and Installation. As you can see, that's a big bucket of documents! So we have provided the more specific Content Type categories on the left to allow you to filter your Search results to better fit your specific needs.

In the future, we have plans to remove the Content Type from displaying in the Search results field and this will mitigate such confusion. Users will see the more specific Content Types in the filters, which they can then select, and the Search results will display the document title and date.
