Default Nortel 1120 / 1140 SSH Access: Connection Closed


I am having a trouble to ssh access to a Nortel 1140. It asks me the password, but I always received a Permission denied, then a Connection Closed after one try. I have well activated SSH on the phone, but still it closes the access..

Here's the phone information:

software: SIP1140

Here's what is in the config file:

SSHID root
SSHPW abcd

Here's the SSH result:

ssh root@ -p 22

Here's a telnel result when I telnet PHONE_IP 22 (making sure protocol is open):

telnet 22
Connected to

SSH-2.0-Mocana SSH

Connection closed by foreign host.

Do you have any idea what am I doing wrong?

Solution Confirmed

Ok, I found it why.. in the config file, the password parameter should be SSHPWD (I had SSHPW)
