Hi,

will the old MCC cabinets still be supported on the new AACM R6.x versions of software?

Hi Henning,

The answer is No. MCC is no longer supported in CM 6.X

If you will check the document Avaya Aura® Communication Manager Hardware Description and Reference for CM6, MCC is no longer mentioned in the list of Media gateways.

You may check it in the below link.
https://downloads.avaya.com/css/P8/documents/100089460

Additonally looking at the document Upgrading to Avaya Aura® Communication Manager Release" Under the topic "Upgrading DEFINITY SI or R Server to the S8800 Server"on page 255 owhich is on the below link
https://downloads.avaya.com/css/P8/documents/100089318

Introduction
This section describes the procedure to upgrade the following servers to Communication Manager Release 6.0.1 on S8800 Server, HP ProLiant DL360 G7 Server or Dell™ PowerEdge™ R610 Server:
• DEFINITY SI Server in an SCC1 or an MCC1
• DEFINITY R Server in an MCC1

In this procedure:
• You discard:
- All port networks (SCCs or MCCs)
- SI or R processor circuit pack

• You install:
- A G650 Media Gateway and move the supported circuit packs to the media
gateway.
- An S8800 Server, HP ProLiant DL360 G7 Server, or Dell™ PowerEdge™ R610
Server running System Platform and the simplex main/survivable core template

Hope this helps
