Default Partner Model 103R1 R7

Hello,

I been taking care of a business pc's and networking for years and now they have ask me to take care of their phone system. Their first request was a simple after hour message stating they are close for the evening and these are their business hours. No voice mail, just a little simple message.

Is this possible with the above phone system model??

If so, is there instruction I can follow ??

The message needs to be activate by time of day if possible, no human intervention at all. I know this is bad however when the clock strikes 6:00pm, the business owner, employees, etc empties. I mean they leave everything running, PC's are still connected to the internet, lights on, machine running, etc.

Thank you for the Help !!

You have an Avaya Partner ACS, Release 7

Voicemail options include Partner Messaging, and Partner Voice Messaging. The first is a module that goes into the carrier with the other modules, the 2nd is a PCMCIA card that goes into an open card slot on the ACS main module itself.

Both offer automated attendant and voicemail. You would have to configure the lines to be answered by a single mailbox, and set the mailbox to Answer Only, to play its greeting and then hang up without taking an incoming message.

The ACS does not have the functionality to make this mailbox answer or not answer based on the time of day/day of week, so someone would need to be responsible to press a button on a phone to enable the answering at the close of the day, and disable each morning.

Thank you thiel2, I'll start reading the manual to learn Partner Messaging. Getting the responsible person there may be the biggest problem I have. Thank you again
