We have a Virtual station that has a Coverage Path set - Point1 delivers to a Coverage Answer Group containing 2 phones, Point2 delivers to a VDN for voicemail. All this works fine, however there are occasions where both users in the Coverage Answer Group are out of office and need to divert the calls to a mobile.
If the users do a call forward from their phones, any incoming calls to the Coverage Path automatically hit Point2 (voicemail), presumably this is because CM sees the phones as being unavailable so sending the call to Point2. Is there any way to divert these calls to a mobile from the phone handsets? |

Have you tried using coverage remote 'change coverage remote XX'? this is the most common setup when diverting calls to mobile phones when using the coverage path feature

If so try using the "find me" feature. I use this successfully to send calls to my cell phone when I am away from my desk.
It is automatic. That is if you do not pick up the call, it forwards to your cell. If you do try this, I have found that it's best to turn off the voice mail service with your cell phone's carrier.

If that is an issue, I would use EC500 and configure a feature access code (FAC) button on the users' station to turn it on and off. ![]()

Thanks for your help Bravo8 / Marzahn - 'change coverage remote' and 'find me' (yes we do use Modular Messaging) are both features are new to me, both sound useful & I'll investigate them further.
I've ended up setting the 2 users up with EC500 and this is working really well, the users have a key assigned to their phones and they are able to turn EC500 on and off for themselves. Thanks for your input. Ashley |
