The situation here is that I need to block a list of specific numbers on specific extensions or stations. I do not want to block these numbers for the entire facility. Will be blocking local police, 911, news media outlets, etc. I have researched toll restricted-calls but haven't found anything good or any good explanations on it. Any help would be appreciated.

Can you use vdn's and vectors? We change the incoming destination on the DID's trunk to a VDN for that user with their extension set in the V1 variable. The call is then directed to a vector which compares the incoming ANI to a table of blocked numbers.

These blocked numbers will be for outgoing calls only on specific stations. No incoming calls

Well if you don't want to block them all the time I can think of two possible solutions.
1. Route calls over 2 different trunks, one where CID delivery is enabled and one where it is not. Route calls to the police, 911 etc over the trunk capable of delivering and all others over the trunk that does not deliver CID. Trunk selection based on partition route table/COR. 2. If you have only ISDN trunks, create route patterns for the different call destinations like above and use Public Unknown table to decide what ID to send on each trunk. Or place the responsibility on the users with feature access codes. Code:
Per Call CPN Blocking Code Access Code: xxxx Per Call CPN Unblocking Code Access Code: xxxx Last edited by rbrookes; 04-04-2014 at 04:46 AM. |

Do check national regulation first - blocking access to emergency numbers is illegal in some countries.

We already use access codes for LD facility wide. I will investigate what you suggested. Thank you. I was very hesitant to block these but these phones are used by mental health patients who are monitored 24x7 by staff with access to phones and onsite security personnel in case of an emergency.
