I have 4 IP Office 500 v2 systems all connected to allow 4 digit dialing, which works great by the way. But, my Network Support group is contacting me once or twice a month asking me why my systems are doing a DNS Lookup to ip addresses outside the USA. I do not understand how this is happening since I have the DNS at 0.0.0.0 so that it will not do a DNS LOOKUP at all.
What can I do to stop this or what settings do I need to check to prevent from happening again. The most recent episode was doing a DNS lookup for an IP in Great Britain. Any help would be greatly appreciated ![]() |

Check whether you have any service with "Request DNS" checked . It will keep sending DNS queries , uncheck it .
Services are in menu "Serivce-->IP " ![]() |

I just recently had this issue as well. I ended up having to connect the IPO to the customers network via the WAN(LAN2) port and drop DNS in the firewall profile assigned to that port.
