Good day I have just finished a CM 6.3 upgrade with a DL380G8 pair and during testing was asked a question by the client that made sense. Would it be possible to create another bond for the duplication link as well in system platform? I did a quick search and could not find a reference to this.

Hello,
NIC bonding is actually feature on system platform, since the hardware on system platform is controlled via DOM0 and CDOM, CM has very limited role in this. You can always create bond with any interface, but the interactions has to be tested with respect to the application (CM) as there are many timers in CM which decides sever health , server interchange etc. Regards Sunil |

Hi Bahamian,
I think you can create 1 NIC bonding only. The reason behind this is there are 4 NIC ports there. eth0 can be used for network eth1 used for service port and eth2 and eth3 can be used for server duplication. So if we use eth2 for duplication then only we left one NIC which is spare and use for NIC bonding.
