Have a SIP trunk and when generating an inbound call I am seeing duplicates 180/Ringing SIP messages. Carrier is complaining about this. I am using an avaya SES.

Hi I don't think Avaya SES can send duplicate 180 ringing can you please send me the SIP trace which you have . Let me have a look.

Possibly a TCP retransmission issue, we have seen the same thing. If packet loss is experienced on a SIP trunk using TCP, the identical packets get re-transmitted in set intervals until a response is received.
