With the Virtual IP (VIP) pointing to the active Server at any given time:
I am having issues with our Avaya S8720 Media Server #2. When server 2 becomes active from a previous standby state, the Virtual IP will update to that server. I suspect this update is not happening since I cannot reach the server via the Virtual IP. If activity were to switch back to Server #1, Server #1 is accessable via the VIP. Has any one else experienced this? Are there any known fixes? Thank You |

Have you found an answer to this? We recently did intentional interchanges/reboots to all of our PBX Server pairs and had what you describe occur on one pair. We could connect in ASA if we went to the actual server address. But is we tried the VIP, this did not work. All port networks came up fine. It almost seemed as if only ASa could not use the VIP. I could autosat from a telent session into the ACM....
