Default One-X Communicator skin

Hi,
Does anyone ever changed the skin of the One-X Communicator. It looks like this can be done from the folder on C:\Program Files\Avaya\Avaya one-X Communicator\skins\ but no idea how to make this active

Regards, Rogier

Hi Rogier,

Your query is valid.
I consulted One-X communicator SMEs for this query and there is official documentation that provides more information about One-X Communicator skins.

The suggestion that I received from them is to contact the AVAYA Product House and Product management. But to do the same, I would recommend you to follow the official consultation path where you can speak to your regular sales contact / CSM etc and ask them to follow up with AVAYA Product management. You can also open a maintenance troubleshooting/ Advisory ticket with AVAYA Technical support who will in turn escalate this requst to AVAYA Product house and Product Management.

They will be the correct point of contact who can claify this query once official request is put up to AVAYA Team.

Thanks.

Per Product Management, skins are not supported on Avaya one-X Communicator. The skins folder is the debug mode for Services and will be renamed.

Smile customizing One-X

Hi
you cannot "skin" the entire interface but you can change the Avaya One-X logos into something else for example a customers logo, its in the admin manual at the end on how to do that

what you need to do is to create a folder called custom in the one-x folders and create a PNG file of the icon or the name that you want to change , with the name logo

There is a specific size to it, also its a bit of a faf , to get it to blend in as the grey of the surround of the name or text would need to be same as the rest of the interface to get the best effect. depending on the monitor you use you could be a few "degrees" out of the right grey colour and you keep on tweaking until you have it

The result is great though,

PS . One X portal has more "freedom" to customise the interface as that is web based
