IPO R10.1 still uses the R10 GA version of the Communicator plug-in for Lync, which also (from R10.0) supports Skype for Business 2016.

With IP Office R10.0 Avaya Communicator for Microsoft Lync expands support to include Microsoft Skype for Business.

The plug-in can be downloaded from Avaya Support Portal under R10 software.
