I am looking to create a something like *6 to dial our help desk. Is this possible? Looking through the FAC list, it doesn't seem like this is a possibility. I looked into abbreviated dialing, but I would really like to use three digits at the most to accomplish this. So dialing one code to reach the abbreviated dialing list and another to get the correct list entry wouldn't work.
I am thinking I may just have to set up a button on the 6408D+ phones to do this instead. But this will not work for our analog phones. What is the best method to go about this? thanks! |

The best way to do this it to use the abbreviated dialing feature and administer a button on the phones. On an analog phone, the end user would need to dial the extension number of the help desk unless speed dials can be programmed into each phone.
