Does anyone know if you can uninstall an AES license in AES version 4.0.1 via the command line,. There doesn't appear to be a link to uninstall the license from the web GUI.
BAckground: We have an old AES box that has has a license from the RFA days where it was associated with a SID. The new PLDS license that we are trying to load will not load and the RFA help desk has advised us to uninstall the old license then try to install the new one. |

For AE Services 3.x, 4.0.x, 4.1, perform the following steps to remove the existing license file.
Log into the AE Server and su to sroot or root Remove the WebLM application 1) rm -rf ~tomcat5/webapps/WebLM/ 2) rm -rf ~tomcat5/work/Catalina/localhost/WebLM/ Restart tomcat to redeploy the WebLM application. service tomcat5 restart Now, you can apply the license file as a new license. You will need to set the WebLM admin login and password Note: If there are additional licenses stored on the WebLM (e.g. for applications using WebLM), you will need to back them up before removing WebLM and reinstall them after this procedure, since they are deleted with the directory. |
